Hello been searching the fourm for a few now. Decided I would finally join and share my project.

This is my 65 econoline heavy duty. Bought it from the second owner. It sat for 20+ years in a shed next to a barn.  Here is what she looked like when I brought her home.

Nice ride. Love the first pick with the love seat in the back. I didn't realize that was a Ford option. Wink

Thanks Very Happy i got my first econo when i was 12. Drove it daily in "high" school haha. It was tons of fun. one day when I drove my van to work. There was an older gentleman there who told me he had a van just like it in his barn. so I arrange to go check it out. when I got there the side of the barn had fallen over onto the door in the window was broken out so i made him a offer. I put a few spares on, hooked up a boat gas tank and drove it home.
The guy who i bought it from was the founder of the world famous, (in the 60s) ridge runners jeep club. One of the first to start modifying jeeps after ww2. He said the van towed his family and old army jeep all over the northwest.
He bought it in 73 from a equipment auction. It was a bell telephone service van. He had it painted and added some paneling. Drove it well into the 80s when he parked it. Said it got a shot of marvel mystery oil in each cylinder every winter.
