    Back to School!

It’s that time of year, and all of the commercials are “Aimed” for the BACK-to- SCHOOL sales and all!!!! Well I can honestly say, this Dude is back in “School” again??? Yepper! 
A few years back, my GF acquired a “Sweeeet” 8 Door A-100 “Shortie”! Well, to make a long story short, It is the same styled Van I first drove in Virginia Beach back when I was a “Young Airdale” at the Naval Air Station there! 1967 Dodge A-100!!!!!
Everyone on the net knows me as a Die-Hard Early Chevy guy, but my “Cherry” was popped on the “VANNING” addiction, with a Dodge A-100!
Anyways, I am back-to-school learning the way the Dodge boys did things, and boy am I ever “Impressed”! Removable Doghouse, who would have thought?? LOL I have poured over schematics, engine specifications, all of the good stuff! Now with it finally out-of-the shop and sporting a new rebuilt fresh 318, I am having a blast! What a difference from the old worn out 6 banger it had!! The “Electric Cut-outs” on the headers surely grabs the attention at some Local Car Shows!!!!! LOL
My next task with “Her” build is designing a nice “Functional” interior! I pretty well have that covered!  But still there’s, back to “School” on upholstery, etc!! Lot’s of note taking & parts sourcing !!!
My “Original” Van (40 years) is safely sitting on Jack Stands, awaiting final adjustment of the rear disc brakes. Very long story that I will not go into here.
Good News, is I finally “Retired” from the Rat Race of Industrial Production, I can now “Focus” on what I want, which is “VANNING!” But I still have to “Pay” attention to my Schoolin’ on Dodge A-100’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Let the Good Times Roll!

Nice, I also have a 67 8 door. I've been slowly collecting all the parts for it and hopefully will have time to start on it this winter. Does yours have the late model doors and the passenger crash pad? Also my ignition key is on the right of the steering column. Just curious as the 67 seems to be a transition year for all that stuff. GM did a few things better too. Like locating the battery either being under the floor or under the passenger seat.

It has the "Crash Pad" and the key in the same spot, but NO on the late model doors.

You are SO right on the battery thing, but I recently purchased an "In-Floor" skin from 108Guy to take care of that! LOL Smile

Your 68 has the key on the right hand side? That's weird, mine's on the left. Also, what's the difference between the late and early model doors?

Mine is a 67 not 68. Some very late 67s had the key moved to the left. Some had early doors with the pull up inner door handle. The late doors have a flat pull out handle and a molded plastic trim piece that covers the upper part of the door. Also the late windwing upper pivot is in a different spot.

Ignition, wiper switch and cigarette lighter got moved so the driver's knees would not get as messed up in a crash. Heater controls got rearranged as well.
