I noticed in this the 64 has a chain on the doghouse lid??? My 64 has the lid rod. Does anyone have a 64 with the chain???

Hmmm, Mine has a rod that you swing up and put on a support hole. Kinda like on a car? Weird.. A chain would be nice....

I see the Chevy's use a crossmember for the engine. Interesting. Do the Econos use one? The Dodge's don't.

The Econolines use a crossmember too, 1964 was the only exception...I think. 64 had two arms from the frame that the engine mounted to. How are the A100's mounted?

Two brackets that bolt to the frame that extend out. The engine mounts to them. Nothing runs under the oil pan.

So is this a rule? If you have 2 latches on your doghouse cover,,,,,you also got a chain to hold it up......can anyone break this rule?
