I was in Florence about a week ago with my pickup. I was there for my Niece's graduation. There are a few in SC. Dan in Columbia, Bruce in Charleston, Galvinator is from upstate SC. I've talked to a few others over the years from SC. One in Conway. A couple in Myrtle Beach. They are there. Just have to find them.

A good way for us to get together is the cruise in on the second Saturday of every month in West Columbia. At Fat Boys, about 2 miles south of I-26 on hwy 1.

I did that same thing to my pickup. I replace both quarters lower apron the whole bed floor. It was a big job. I wouldn't want to do it again.

The bed isn't that bad, but everything else is a disaster. I guess that's why I'm doing the engine at the same time. When I get frustrated uncovering more rot in the body , I'll switch to the engine. And when that damn distributor won't come out after two days of beating with a dead blow hammer, I'll move back to the body. It keeps things fresh and exciting if you could call it that.

I'm about two months out for a long road trip as well. Steering is wonky at best, rounding up parts as we speak.

Bruce, are you rebuilding the stering box, or rplacing with something else? I have a box that I cut the shaft off of if you need any internal parts.

I'm in Seneca. I don't know how far out I am on a road trip in the e-pup haha. If my work schedule ever slows down then I might be able to make some substantial progress! Subscribing to this thread, though!!

If you can, come on down on the 14th. The monthly cruise-in at Fat Boys. About 2 miles south of I-26 on hwy 1. Cars start arriving around 3 pm and stay untill 7 or 8 pm. We normally get about 150 cars. Anything from rat rods to brand new cars and everything in between.
