install air bags Empty install air bags

wanting some feed back. I want to lower my van to get in easier and raise it back up, not slam it, just drop it about 4 or 5 inches and raise it back up to travel, I don't want to add 4 bar links or weld in anything, I was wandering if I removed all the spring leafs and just used the main leaf if I put bags on top the axles between axle and frame, would it work, or would the main leaf brake the first time you let the air out, I know they make bags that would fit in that space, any ideas???

Some folks have bagged their Econolines and some have moved the axles over the springs. I am sure someone has done the same to a Dodge. Have you searched here?

it's called an air over leaf setup. you might leave the two longest springs in, and then put the bags on. I have a few friends with the setup on their hot rods. haven't seen it used on the front suspension with leafs though. I think it would be too unstable and squirrely up front.
