1968 Dodge A108 VIN number alternate location

I am in desperate need of help. My VIN plate is not readable. I have been told that there is a second number of a A108 behind the right front tire. I have looked but I cannot see anything. I will be taking it a mechanic who will put it on a lift so I will have clear visibility. Does anyone know the exact location of the number?

I just found my VIN today. My data tag is missing  and the deceased owners family had no idea about a title. I can get a title with the VIN but didn't know where to look until I found this post. It was exactly where the link showed it to be. I was surprised at how big the numbers really are. Here is a pic of my numbers. They are towards the outside just in front of the body floor brace as you look behind the tire. WOO HOO!! I can finally get my van legal.

Awesome! You sound like you are as happy as I was when I found mine. When I took it to get the inspection done the guy ask me, how did you ever find that? I replied, with a little help from my friends!

glad to hear. it took me a few phone calls in to the big dogs and now we can help every one.
BUT thats what vintage vans was intended to do. just jeep paying it forward. like i said before
i had some very good guidance on mine.    

Got my new title in the mail Friday. The van is officially mine and another one will be saved.
