Oil gauge fitting, What fits ?

Has anyone had any luck with hooking up the stock factory mechanical oil pressure gauge ? I've got a stock gauge, but am having a problem finding the correct fitting that threads into the gauge head. Seems to be a strange adapter. What fitting has worked for you ? I do not have the stock pressure hose. I'm going to use 1/8 copper.

The best thing I've found is the fitting from a 3/16 brake line. But it will only thread in about 3-4 threads, then stops. All the gauge threads look fine. Scottie8door showed me a stock hose (which he said he would not use), the stock hose had a small section of steel line, with the nut on it , ALSO there was a self centering ferrule. So I know what it all looks like. But can not find the right stuff. Has anyone else come up with another way to adapt fitting that will solve this problem ??

should be a brass = fine thread fitting!! into gague!! napa????????????? also try one that is for like 1/8 pipe?/ and one that fits the oil pressure port in a chev block-might be 1/16 pipe?? im thinking the latter one & in brass.

there is a flex hose at the gauge and it should be 1/8 npt but I haven't been under my dash for ages. and the truck is up country from me and it's a freakin blizzard outside now.

Get to NAPA!! its 1/8 pipe fine likely!!

Thank you, I will try to find it from here...but do you know if it's 24 or 27 tpi?
Here in Spain is dificult to get those sizes.
