Not only did I have a 1st gen '66 van back in the day, I had a '74 Bronco after the van, my first ever bought new vehicle! 302 V8, 3-speed...drove it coast to coast...Here it is in 1975 somewhere in the Arizona desert and in a NJ snowstorm...many storied to tell about early Broncos, but not here...
Thanks, I'll post some of my pics over there...I will say tell your buddy they are maintenance nightmares and very prone to body and floor board rust. The old Dana FWD axles are very expensive to replace and repair and I doubt he will find one today with a good driveshaft...even the shifters wear out and are not easy to replace, way scarcer parts than our vans...be very careful unless he finds one already restored or is a mechanic with his own shop!
