Re: rubber for the engine hood?
The S10 is nothing like the little piece of rubber glued to the cover of the doghouse,,,,,,the S10 just clips over the lip on the bottom half,,,,,,,it is longer than what you need,,,,you cut off what you don't use,,,,,,,however,,,,,,you might find a good one in the wrecking yard,,,,,passenger sides seem to be the least worn,,,,,just pull it off,,,,,slap it on your van,,,,,,

Re: rubber for the engine hood?
I used this, found on eBay, about 1/2" wide, really worked great and adhered well to the hatch rim and much cheaper than Steele..

One pack is more than enough but I bought a few packs to door the side and rear doors with. Same seller has many other sizes of this strip..What's correct placement? I put the seal on the cover side because it had a crimp lip from the original seal? plus you don't booger it when working on the engine...

Re: rubber for the engine hood?
Youre welcome . You may have to un bolt the clasp on the latch and slide it up a bit but it is slotted for that purpose !!

Re: rubber for the engine hood?
mines a little worn and missing in a couple spots. guess im gonna head to the local pull a part yard and get either of these. or maybe both and see which one I like more.
anyone know what works well for our doors? I am gonna check my rv dealerships catalog for something universal that will work. they cost about 35 -50 cents a foot. a little better that the 800 bucks that I was told they cost for the real ones.
any help is appreciated. thanks.

Again, look at the seal I showed in the link above on eBay, a hollow D shape, comes in several sizes and is cheap...they probably sell it locally at the right store....I used it on the engine hatch and on a rear door, sticks like a ......

I just checked that stuff you posted off from ebay. looks just like the stuff I found today at work. except, my dealership thinks that it's worth 4.95 a foot. hahahhaha think I might just head on over to ebay and pick some up.
