Went to Napa today for my cart load of brake stuff for the 68', and when opened up the hardware boxes there were parts in the box that were not installed on the van.

One corner done, 3 to go after I teach him how to grind off the studs and change the drum. To cold to paint the backing plate right now, have to do it later in the summer when we tackle the king pins. This one won't take any grease even with a new zerk. The before pic didn't come out, but I'll bet the other side is the same with missing parts so I'll post that side later. All the adjuster "stuff" was missing except the star wheel and the spring running over it very loosely, don't know how it did not come unhooked while they were driving it.
No luck on the freeze plugs yet, the exhaust bolts are still soaking in penetrant

I wish my stepkids would get excited about this... you are lucky!

Maybe as the earlys go under the knife, they'll show a little interest...

    Bendix 88224 or Raybestos BH35018 will work. BH35018 is also the rear hose...it's a bit longer...around 16"

King Pins are MOOG 8453B if I'm not mistaken.

Moe... Doc drilled a hole in the bone and "pounded" a tent peg in it so he could have something to sew the tendons back to. Said he hasn't seen one this bad in a while, and the last one like it was froma skiing accident. Gave up on the freeze plugs for now and called my nephew (dealer Mechanic) to come over and put them in for me. Some how the whole cast thing and pounding just aint gettin it. Very Happy Plus trying to explain to "the kid" how to put one in is next to impossible, so he is going to help my nephew and see how it's done.

    Thanks for the p#'s nate
