Duane, now that I think about it one of the Shinn brothers took their bumper to Carlisle and gave it to Tri City Plating there and picked it up at another show. Talk face to face and save shipping.

Re: Chrome Bumper on my 64' econo
The bolts are regular steel with a stainless cap over the head. You can buy replacements at the chrome shop or ebay. Brackets should be matte black.
I've been looking for a decent platter myself. Fred said Tri City is good buy I've never made the call. I know Advance in Nashville asked me $800. each to do mine. I'm looking for a business that I can talk face to face with. I don't want to do mail order.

I think Fred Carello uses Tri City plating in Tennessee. I hear they are reasonable. Correct me if I'm wrong Fred. I know the place here in Cincinnati is up to $450 now. It's getting ridiculous.

Gateway plating in St Louis quoted me $300 each to straighten and chrome.

Re: Chrome Bumper on my 64' econo
For what i have been searching.. just the bumper is chromed and the bumper bolts.painted brackets. Here are a couple of chromers in Detroit that us Michiganders use: Dynamic Custom Chrome 5999 Bewick Detroit 313 922 6455 or:A-W Custom Chrome 17726 E 9 Mile Rd Eastpointe 586 775 2040. Give them a call for a quote. Let me know what they say..Ken

Chrome Bumper on my 64' econo
So i have the front and rear bumpers for my econo but don't know what i should do about chroming them. Have called some places around me (cleveland ohio) and have got some prices. starting from $450-850 to chrome one bumper, damn. I want it done right, but that 850 sounds a bit high. Ideas? Also what about the bumper brackets? Are they usually painted with the chrome bumpers or chromed as well? and the bumper bolts chromed?
Thanks
