Re: Seat mounting brackett..
I never paid attention cause I never pulled mine out but its probably different since the front pivots and the back has those ball things. Do you recall which was higher, the front or the back?

Re: Seat mounting brackett..
No... I feel it should be even on both ends. I am considering cutting one end to even them out. Thoubht I would ask before I cut.

Re: Seat mounting brackett..
so are you able to compare the drivers side to the passengers? I would assume they only produced one bracket and used them on both sides so I would compare the two.

Re: Seat mounting brackett..
Keeping the front of the seat up makes it more comfortable usually and gives the back a slight recline. To me flat/level seats are painful and make for an uncomfortable drive.

Re: Seat mounting brackett..
Don't cut it!
Yours is a later one with pins front and back, not ball snaps.
Have you looked at the seat tracks?
Have you compared the 2 side-to-side?
Have you sat in the seat and found that it leans back slightly?
In other words, don't be the guy that rushes in and cuts something that was designed, built and lasted 40 years, only to find out after WHY it was right to begin with.... and then have to find one that is for sale by someone who didn't cut it.

Re: Seat mounting brackett..
Maybe a little late but do not cut that bracket, the pinned style seat bracket is higher in the front than in the back.

Re: Seat mounting brackett..
Im curious what does the pinned style mounting look like? Mine has the ball in socket type and have been thinking of mounting the seat more securely.
