Has anyone lowered the front bumper? I was thinking instead of messing with lowering the truck, just get the bumper a little closer to the ground. Is this a great idea or just the margaritas kicking in ?

Re: lower front bumper
Just one more thing to bump your head on when crawling out from under the truck. Sounds like you're done that a few times! LOL

Re: lower front bumper
Ok, I guess it was a bad idea. I'll try and come up with a better one, on the other hand ,maybe not.

Re: lower front bumper
Maybe my thinking wasn't as messed up as I thought, I think it looks great. Do you have a pic of the modified bracket ?

Re: lower front bumper
here is a pic i dug up....if i remember correctly all i used was the stock bracket, just cut up and welded. where it mounts to the van i cut the bracket and flipped it upside down because the new bracket comes out from under the van instead of through the grill like a stock one does. with the remaining bracket bolted to the bumper i placed the bumper at the height and position i wanted it, cut some and welded it all together..

Re: lower front bumper
It looks like the bracket is welded to the bottom of the tow hook.
