Need a pictures BAD

Real hack job on my 66 to lower it in the front, thought it was fixed but wasn't for a good reason. Can't find any 1 st gens in yards around here for parts so we will have to make them.
I need pictures of the spring mounts for the front springs on a 1st gen. Want to make them as close to stock as I can. They cut them off in the front and back of the front springs. Please add measurements if you can

,,,,and that would make the springs A to A bolts 47 inches apart.......

Was hoping the spring place was going to have them fixed when you got home from Nats. Are Don's pics enough,or you need more?? 65 DV in garage up on jack stands

That area seems like a really random area for a hack job. Wonder why it was all cut up?

Also could I get a measurement front and back from the frame to "A" bolt

Hey Chris Here is the 1964 GMC axle both springs are the same on the front. This was a dealer van that they used for a parts chaser until 1973 then they parked it for a storage bin.

Some of my other 1st gen vans have different  size front spring "eyes", usually the Passenger side is larger. Dan

What they did Don was cut off the mounts and in the front they cut out the bottom of the frame and mounted the spring in the frame

Can't find any vans in our yards around here (yet). If we can find stock we'll use stock mounts, more likely we'll have to make something closest to stock as we can

Thanks G-Man, I was wondering WTF they did to it. Bad lowering job it seems.

This is a lesson to all out there trying to lower there van cheaply, most if not all don't work well.
