    Hello -

New to this forum and old vans. Hope your group can help me out with some information about a 65 Ford Falcon Van I just got. This is the model with windows all around and it came with a bench seat in back. Unfortunately the seat is just laying in the back of the van. Does anyone have information on how/where this seat is supposed to be mounted?

Also, I'm looking to make this van into a daily driver, so would appreciate any suggestions/information on what would be good improvements to make it nicer to drive (for example power brakes, suspension upgrades, different size wheels/times, etc.). And good sources for parts.

Will post some pictures when I get some time, and get used to how this forum works.

    Thanks.

One good suggestion is to swap out the single master cylinder for a dual. Old skool on this site I believe sells them. Some guys go one step further and change the front brakes too disc as well. Brake lines and fuel lines as well as cleaning the gas tank are good ideas also. Suspension and steering, brakes and cylinders. There are some threads on these upgrades you can search for. Welcome to VV!t

hey bro. got a 65 myself about 3 weeks ago.mine has two bolts on each side coming up from the floor of the van four for each seat the nuts for the bolt are the same size as a lug wrench and the lug wrench is the tool used to take them in and out. the seats are held down with a u- shaped bracket about 2" long that fits over seat frame and there's hole in it that fits over the bolt in the floor. so if you have 2 rear bench seat like mine you should see 8 bolts 4 on each side of rear of the van. if it came with seats org. there should at least be holes in the floor where the bolts were. hope this helps.
