Well, look what showed up yesterday in the cold rainy weather! It's official, I can now post as an early van owner!

After 3 months of trying to get the deal done, I finally got it. 67' from California. 302 C4 automatic. I almost slept in it last night.

New wheels and tires will be soon.

Post by NoBiggie Mon Apr 08, 2013 6:26 pm

It's a work in progress right now, the entire front end is out and it's up on jacks. I am sending the bent axle to Sid at droppedaxles.com. He is going to straighten it back to factory specs, remove and replace the kingpins for me.

I have new front and rear leaf springs being delivered this week.

In the process of putting in / replacing all these parts with new ones:

    Kingpins & Bushings
    Both Tie Rod Ends
    Tie Rod Sleeve
Front and Rear Leaf Springs (5 leaf in front, 5 leaf in rear with a 1" raised arc)
Leaf spring shackles, bushings, bolts, ubolts
    Steering Drag Link
    Front & Rear Shocks
Front sway bar links & bushings

Should have all the parts here 100% by the end of the week, hope to get the axle back by the end of next week.

No plans on the interior yet. Once I get these parts in, I will do wheels and tires and then start to think about the inside. It has mat, foam and shag carpet installed on the floor for now, that helps with noise.

Really haven't even driven it yet over a mile from the transport truck to home on the bent axle and busted springs, so it's going to be awesome when it's all back together and I can drive it!
