Re: todays random image (part #4)
Ya those tire are a bit much on a van. That style tire/wheel was very big in the hot rod/Gasser crowd. In fact the greatest/most influential Gasser to ever grace the planet ran them, Stone Woods and Cook.
Dig that stuff but not so sure bout it on one of our vans lol

Re: todays random image (part #4)
I am not a fan of white wall tires at ALL and lately not even white letters but when the wide whites were available in the 50's and 60's they became became VERY popular with the Gasser Race Cars of ALL Kinds I took pictures until the NEW batteries went dead in my camera and I missed a lot of stuff.!!! 2-3 rows of cars it is very hard to see all 3 buildings in one day..... almost all the Gassers there had the wide whites on them.!!!. I personally would leave them for Pee Wee Herman.. ..It was $20,00 for me and my wife to get in the museum with the discount passes and almost 4 hours to put the thread together It was a Full day of Effort so I am exhausted today I am no reporter or photographer and don't care much at all for Drag Racing anymore..( My Father and I blew up a Quite a few motors, transmissions,Clutches, and rear ends, in our day) It gets too Expensive.!!! So I did this for You Guy's that have never Seen or Been too the Garlet's Museum before. IF any Vanner is ever in my area I will be more than Happy to take them there for a tour. ...

Re: todays random image (part #4)
Joe i'd agree with that,One of the things i like most about drag racing is if you make a mistake you are going on the trailer, And last year or last week doesn't mean anything, There is no free passes,But in any racing it seams to be the ones with the most money wins the championship ring,
