    the pistons for my steel gullwinged door are beat, does anyone have a sorce for some heavyduty ones, thanks

    The steel gull wing door on my 1975 CHEVY van has 40 inch struts that came off the trunk of a 88 camaro if you tell them it has a rear wiper they are the heavy duty ones the standerd 40 inch struts were too weak for my steel door............They came from CAR QUEST AUTO PARTS.

    you should be able to tell them what is the weight of the door. then measure the lenth you want and they should be able to make some thing work. at least that is how it works at napa.
