Re: gullwinged
i took pics when i remembered... here are a few that i have...
We started around 10am
removed the doors
welded the two doors together.. we had measurements and guides drawn to keep the body lines and contours even
welded the hinges to the top of the door and inside the body, then got the desired height set
got the struts in told hold everything in place. this took a couple tries before it was right. Matchstick explaining geometry (thats the math with shapes right?)
Matchstick and my buddy ben working their grinders around 12:30/1am
finished up around 1:30am
the next day we put in the pulley system and latches and hooked up a button just inside the passengers side door to get it all operational

Re: gullwinged
Vic, you took much nicer pics than I did. Any chance you'll make it out to EconoWest on Saturday at the rose bowl?

Re: gullwinged
Thats pretty sweet if you do any traveling/camping. You could make a canvas skirt and zipper door.
