Northeast Blizzard Tomorrow! Empty Northeast Blizzard Tomorrow!

Post by vanny Thu Feb 07, 2013 1:36 pm

We are bracing for up to 2 feet of snow tomorrow in Massachusetts.affraid I am going to get some extra gas for the generator and snow blower. I'm hoping we don't have to use either but it's been a long time since we've had a BIG storm around here. I just don't want to get caught not being prepared.

I was supposed to be working out in the Cape Cod area tomorrow but I may just reschedule because cities and towns are now saying to be off the roads by noon so that the snow plows can do their jobs.

I'll probably spend the day with my grandson building a snowman or two. It's nice having a 6 year old around again. They just LOVE a good Snowday!!!
If I had an ounce of artistic talent, I'd love to make a Van Snow sculpture!
So, you all might have a break from my longwindedness for a couple of days. Wahooooo!

So far not much accumulation but it's beginning to come down harder and the wind is Whipping it around pretty good! I'm glad I stayed home today, lots of sliding accidents already!

1 to 2 inches aint bad....It's that freakin wind that turns it into 3 feet. If it didn't come with wind, winter might be enjoyable. Stay inside and stay warm and safe.

We still have power (Thank God) but the snow's still coming down at a pretty good clip! Hopefully it will die down soon so I can start shoveling and snowblowing.Northeast Blizzard Tomorrow! 100_5415

Vanny, I work weekends for a company that runs 24 hours a day
7 days a week. I got a call last night that the plant was closed, first I've seen in 10 years. Looked out the window at 4am this morning and my winter beater is just a large bump. Going to spend the day in the plow truck Bob

I just got back in from snowblowing out the vehicles and the mailbox. I think we got a little over 2 feet but it's still coming down. The snow is getting a little lighter now. Wind just blows it back in your face as your moving. My wife has to drive to work today as she is a nurse. There is still a statewide ban on driving other than emergency personnel and plows. The people on the coast are getting the heavier wet snow and now flooding with the high tides. My heart goes out to them. We luckily haven't lost power because of the light snow. Our indoor cat likes to sneak outside when I come in the door. This morning I held the door wide open and he slammed on the brakes when he saw snow piled up Twisted Evil

    Panhead,
I heard that parts of NH got slammed pretty good too. What part of NH are you from? I'm spending the rest of the day playing with my Grandson. Much more fun inside with him. - Paul

stay warm , hope your wife doesn't have far to travel.Kinda wonder how many nurses call in and can't make the drive, The nurses never get any respect. They should make all the doctors stay there.!!!!!
