I just bought my first vintage Ford van and I am looking to lower it. I am thinking I can do axle flip kits on front and rear, but I am not too sure... Any suggestions & advice will be welcomed.

Welcome to VV Matthew. If you just want to drop it an inch or two, then you could just remove one leaf spring on each corner. But if you want it in the weeds....then we're talking air bags and some serious suspension mods. The link No Biggie posted has a lot of great reading on many different ideas and the hardships that can come with it. Also don't forget to post some pics of your van...lol. cheers

Flipping the springs and axle on the rear is easy. The front is not so easy since the spring perches are on the bottom of the axle and can not be moved. You need to be creative to put the springs on top of the front axle.

There is a company that will heat up and lower your axle 2 to 4 inches.

Most people who lower their van find steering issues they cannot correct. Do lots of research.

I took 1 1/4 out of the front rear shackle and got a 2" drop. Adds more bounce

Lowering my '67 Econoline Empty crown vic independant front end swap

Hello, Has anybody done this swap in a van? Seems like a lot of 60's ford trucks do this conversion. Seems like it would be doable.
