if a 67 orig 6 cyl. clutch , has now a powerglide in it , but with orig radiator (no trans lines going into it ), and p/glide hooked to trans cooler mounted to middle ,pass. side of motor box , would it run hot ? looks wierd having no trans/lines to rad. and also area where trans cooler located ,like no breathing room, but i am no mech.
also it has shifter linkage ,shifting the p/glide patern upside down, would that be a hard fix to correct?

Shift linkage - flip flop the shift lever on the side of the transmission.

Trans cooler - I have mine mounted about 6" behind the grille.

My tranny cooler was mounted to the inside of the passenger side rocker panel under the doors. By the looks it was that was a long time. Bob

Where ever the trans cooler is mounted - it must be hooked up after the radiator -water cools it for best effency!! Then to the aux cooler & making sure that has good air flow - natural or fan driven.

I hace a custom made aluminum radiator and my trans cooler is mounted in front of the radiator. I have never had any problems with it there.

Here is where I put mine. Drivetrain is 350/350 combo. Still in mock up stage but for now it works really well. Also has electric fan on it. Not tied into the engine Rad.trans cooler location Trans_10. Again I am still finding places to put everything, and it might move from here later, for now this works. I drove 40 minit round trip and no problems, and also needs a rock gaurd in front to protect from rocks coming off front passenger wheel.
