Picked this up a few years back for $750, and just fixin er up little by little...
Did a new headliner in the cab to replace the falling shag...
Had the old 8 track when I got it.
And a couple 8 track tapes...

I would have loved to get the dually version, but for what I paid I can't complain.
At some point I am going to remove all the shag and put some more modern material inside, plus the roof is getting solar panels.

I sure do like TransVans,,,,,,they are just the right size,,,,not too big,,,not too little,,,,and it is probably the most livable van you can have,,,,you can build it your way,,,,I ripped out everything on mine and added a generator and shower,,,,,I got air bags in the rear to keep the rear bumper from dragging when hauling my motorcycle on the rear bumper.....

Ya know Don. Ever since I first saw yours I fell in love with the Trans-Vans! I do a search for them ever few months. I have found one or two but being a Chevy guy will hold out till I find a a Chevy. And of course the time has to be right with the funding!!!

In the midwest, they are very hard to find. The kitchen area would often drop right through the floor since the framework would rot away. Many were scrapped years ago.

The TransVans have a bunch of B Class cousins,,,,Champion seems to be the major manufacturer,,,I see Ford, Dodge and Chevy versions,,,,mine is probably a 17 foot, G-30, 125 WB model,,,,8600 GVW,,,,,I think they also made 21 foot ones . But all the insides are probably rotted out from condensation and water leaks by now,,,,It is like a van on steroids,,,,350 engine/350 trans/4:11 rear end,,,,but REALLY easy and comfortable to drive. But there is enough room in there to build it up anyway you want and relax in style.......

The 'real' TransVan is a breed apart, more custom van than RV's usually are.
