I can only speak for myself, but with all the blood, sweat and tears I have put into this thing, it will be a family heirloom!

Re: The Surfing Guy's 65
Scott, yes, I did see the Sox Shellac the Cards! It is, after all, the World Series! I'm filling in a ditch we had dug for a couple of lampposts in the driveway. Out here in the sticks, it gets REALLY dark at night. It's 110 feet long, 4 feet deep and a little over a foot wide. Tons of rocks in the soil too!!! Once I get this one of my list, I'm gonna try to get back to the van before the snow flies, I hope!
Keep working on that heirloom, you're making great strides with Don cracking that whip!

He needs the tattoo of the Cannonball Run record time on his arm but he looks a lot like him. Does he have a beer assistant?

Re: The Surfing Guy's 65
Took a test drive to the lake for a run and the brakes worked fine...still hard to make a complete stop, but I'm assuming this is due to drum brakes. Also, the "new" rear end works better with no whining. However, at times there is difficulty shifting gears...seems at first glance it is mainly when downshifting. Could be random though.

Re: The Surfing Guy's 65
Still hard to stop?,,,, Are they acting different or are you forgetting you don't have power brakes and you have to push harder on them to stop the van?

Re: The Surfing Guy's 65
Well, I'm pretty sure it as good as it was before the re-build. So, I think it is the drum-brake syndrome. I guess after adjusting brake shoes and new lines, I thought it would be considerably different. I'm prolly just being a wimp!

Re: The Surfing Guy's 65
The Chowda here is wicked awful good Don but you would be too heart broken without your Protégé! Scott, the Red Sox would be glad to have you back here on the East Coast! One more win, Go Sox!!

Re: The Surfing Guy's 65
ROTFLMAO!!! The Donimow now has steering...but how is Scott steering his van right now??? That thing better have good brakes cause it's usually carrying quite a bit of weight for it's size!

Re: The Surfing Guy's 65
Probably would, but the water is tooooo cold and freezing winters/sweltering summers do not sound too appealing...donivan65 wrote:,,,,,why don't you just move to Boston,,,,,,,
