Re: I dont want my heater plumbing
There are probably a lot of vans out there like that because of leaking heater cores,,,,,if you have a 6 cylinder, one hose is 5/8" and the other 3/4",,,,so probably use the 3/4 hose and squeeze it down on the 5/8" pipe...

Re: I dont want my heater plumbing
Ha!! You'll probably want a heater in south lake tahoe in a couple months... or probably a windshield defroster! But yeah, just looping it like don says is a good temporary fix. New heater cores are available when the time comes to fix it correctly.

Hey thatcher
I had my heater core re-done last fall
by McCarran Radiator in Sparks Nevada.
They saved me about $100. Total cost
was about $87!They also re-cored my
radiator a few years ago. I have NO
overheating problems EVER.

This is Part No. 398237, the correct replacement for the factory heater core for 64-66 chevy van:
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product__20820003-P_524_R%7CGRPCOOLAMS____?zoneAssigned=1
The photo is a stock photo of the generic heater core. I have one of these heater cores in my 64. Read my review on the advance auto website. Easy to install and it fits!
