Re: loose horn button
If the round plastic trim cap is loose - use some blu-tack or similar to make it stay in place.
If the horn rim blow ring is loose - you'll need to pull the steering wheel to check the horn switch screws. Sometimes the small insulating spacers can break - meaning the trim ring will be loose. If the switch itself is broken - you'll need a new one, and this will also make the 'horn button' seem loose.
Hope that helps

Re: loose horn button
You will need a quality steering wheel puller tool. Do not beat on the steering column with hammers etc. being that it probably has never been removed in 40+ years, I would use WD-40 or similar & a bit of patience.

Re: loose horn button
The horn 'cap' flips of carefully using a fine tipped flat screwdriver.

Re: loose horn button
It might be useful to others if you can post a photo of what you are doing - gets a quicker and more accurate diagnosis. I've noticed a lot of requests for info with ambiguous descriptions of the problem. Just trying to be helpful

Re: loose horn button
Those two are both different to my mine. I have the seperate switch & trim setup - with a plastic style & o-ring push on horn cap. Sorry can't post pic of mine as the truck is living with a friend for winter.

Re: loose horn button
That looks the same as mine.
Just get a small flat blade under the edge of the top horn cover, it should just pop off - but be gentle. It probably has an o-ring to hold it in place. You will be able to see the 3 x fixing screws that hold the trim ring and horn switch underneath. I suggest that by that picture, the screws have worked loose, and a simple re-tighten will fix the prblem. Good luck
