Re: Oil Bath Air Cleaner
The Holley carb actually used a paper element filter. Kinda hard to find one now. It has a clamp that fits around the tapered seat on the carb neck. A thumb screw tightens it to the carb.
The Holleys are kinda weird this way. I don't know how you would go about mounting a different air cleaner on it. I've mounted a paper element cleaner to a Motorcraft carb. I think it would be much harder to mount the oil bath to the Holley.

Re: Oil Bath Air Cleaner
Just came back from vaction and tried to install the air filter. It turns out that I need an offset air cleaner. Anyone know where I might find one?

Re: Oil Bath Air Cleaner
Gee, I thought that was the offset air cleaner. That one must have came from a Falcon car. The tops were pretty much the same on the Econolines air cleaners as the Falcon tops. Both have the center stud holding them together. Can you cut the mount from the base and reweld it offset? On mine, The base clamps to the carb then the lid bolts to the base. If it could be offset just a bit it should clear the doghouse.
I have a Falcon aircleaner around here someplace but I can't find it right now to see if I could modify it.
Finding an original air cleaner may be hard to do. They only made them in 61-62. The oil bath replaced it in 63.
I may be able to get some pictures if the will help you.
