oil adaptor plate leak

OK my 318 has been spotting oil, so after a investigation. Looks like the oil adaptor plate is leaking. Only had the van for a month now and finding all the chewing gum fixes. The plate has some kind of silcone gasket paste on it. So now I have the replacement gaskets. 1 for the plate. 1 smaller cork gasket and a same size paper looks to have some metal in it.
OK looked in my manual nothing on the subject, so before I pull it apart and find no gasket, or gaskets. I thought I would send out feelers and see what u guys think.

mine was the same, it leaked. took it off. i was able to put the filter on with out it.

Ok. Gonna try that. Really dont need the extender aways. Thanks for the reply.

I'd make a recommendation but mine still has the giant canister filters
