EVENT HOSTING NE EARLYS

Hey Everyone

As some of you may be aware, I'm hosting the Northeast Early Gathering
in Jackson, NJ on July 21st. Check the Event Forum.
Since this will be my first hosted event, I was wondering if there are any of you out there with ideas on things to do, how do I get goodie bags, what are the best type of prizes, best way to reach out to people, etc.

GMAN and CHEBBY have been very helpful, but I feel I'm a long way
from providing a great show.

Any help appreciated.

for the goody bags since there not alot of time before your event you'll have to contact local auto vendors for goody stuff. Check local auto parts stores , tire stores etc... Most will want a flyer for the event. Next year contact places like summit , Jegs and other Hot rod parts guys. The reason I say next year is most of these vendors want at least 90 days before there event. When you do contact them be sure to ask for banners of there products to help promote there products

Like any show you'll start out small and build for there and there nothing wrong with a small show. You'll learn what works and what won't for you.

One thing I have done at the Baker's show is something I came up with I call a goody bag dig. I would have 4-5 goody bags that had something different in them that if vanners had in there bags would win them something extra.

I've been to the local establishments. Got a few bonus items...drink specials , dinner coupons, etc. Thanks for the auto parts idea.
I'm working on a couple of motel/hotel deals.

My sister is a store manager at the autozone on rt. 35 in Neptune,I just got off the phone with her and she said to stop by with a flyer and she might be able to put together some 50/50 baskets for your event.I was hoping to make the event myself but I have to go to a wedding that same weekend in Tennesee,maybe next year.Her name is Tracy and she is there every day exept Thursday and Sunday.Just tell her Jay sent you.

Now that's what I'm talkin about!

no problem,I am glad she was able to help,I just wish I could attend the event but I have to go to a wedding that weekend.Hopefully you have a good turnout and can do it again next year and I can make it.please post some pics afterwards

OKAY YOU VINTAGE VANNERS..here's the scoop;

I've been to car shows and my wife has come along.
She says that it's kinda boring for here..
listening to all the guys talkin about the vans and mechanical stuff...

Well, she suggested something for the girls.
