clutch return spring Empty clutch return spring

Donivan! Love the previous linkage photo. Following up on my recent linkage repair, wanted to install clutch return spring which my sec. gen. has never had. Only problem is i can only find a spring 17.5 inches long. Seems i need one about 22 inch long give or take. Anyone know where i can get a spring that long besides getting a screen door spring or something? Thanks

The "HELP" section in most of the chain auto stores have bags of springs, long, medium and short. About 5 springs per bag for about 5 bucks. Good to have the large and mediums as spares and I've found the long ones long enough to do that clutch spring. One side is pre-bent allowing pretty install with pliers and wire cutters. I have both bags on my dash for emergency.

    Good luck.
