Anyone on here a "glass" guy/gal?? Since we can't get rubber for the wing windows, is there a way to make them solid like the litte windows on the G body el caminos (78-86). Can't think of the right word, but "glue" them in basically.

Re: Door wing window ideas??
I'm thinking of moving the front track forward and making a one piece window ala Chip Foose on the A 100 truck he did on Overhaulin. Or filling it in and making a mirror mount. I'm going to find some nice late model electric mirrors to go on my van. Don

One piece window would be a great idea. I remember the Foose pickup but forgot that they had done that.

The vent window rubber is available thru Karr rubber products in California. 1-310-322-1993 $205 for the set and that includes the vertical piece.

I ordered a set yesterday. They have both types, early and the later style. The difference is in the top pivot point position, there is about a 1" difference. When they get here I'll post about the quality. Brian Bowie has them as a source in his A100 club packet.

You may want to check out this web site, some people have had problems with Karr rubber products in California.

Re: Door wing window ideas??
The vent rubbers came Friday. They look good, not perfect, slight molding marks on the surface. Its going to take me a while to see how they fit. They do look to be acurate in size and shape. The straight seal has to be glued on, not riveted like the original. I'll post later how well they fit.
