Ok 1st Gen folks,what is ths?

Lazarus,those were pretty common from days of old,in big trucks/semi's & dump's.While cars and pickups ran signals through steering columns,it was just easier/more economical to use these on bigger vehicles.
They just stuck it to the left side of column and put a hose type of clamp on it.Some(cant tell for sure on yours)had a flat metal piece,that was turned down on end,under signal arm,you just pulled outward that worked as a 4-way.
Some folks use these if signals are messed up in columns.Clip the wires,run to it(yours),clamp it.Then they have two signal arms.heh

Nightmoves, makes sense. The former owner was an Esso oil truck hauler. My signals work, so might pass this along to someone who wants/needs it for a ratrod project.
