will west coast mirrors cover holes from 3 screw pedestal mirrors?

i found a nice set of west coast style mirrors for my 63 but it currently has holes where the 3 screw pedestal mirrors go. by chance will the brackets for the west coast mirrors cover the holes already there or do they mount in a totally different place?

also which are harder to find, the pedestal mirrors or the westcoast mirrors? should i get the west coast mirrors if for nothing else as trade bait for a set of pedestal mirrors?

still not sure about the relative rarity of western vs pedestal

My guess is the pedestal mirrors are more rare. I searched for over a year for a nice pair, at any price. They show up on e-bay regularly, but get snapped up pretty quickly. I like them better than the west coast, but that's just my preference.

For what it's worth, the west coasts actually work better as mirrors, IMO.
