if there small holes flatten a peice of copper tubing bigger than the holes hold it behind the hole and fill it up with mig welds wont stick to the copper be very careful not to get to hot or ull burn bigger holes if it were mine id take it out and do it as to not burn something behind iit ,dave

There wasn't anything in the rectangular holes. There's studs mounted in the dash pad that go through the small round holes. Don't know what chevy had in mind when they did that.
