Hi I'm new to the community and I am wanting to put a small block w/auto-trans in my 1967 E-100 van and I am looking for resources to help me through the rebuilding.Does anyone have any links for me to go to for info on the motor change and what is involved, such as mounts, suspension upgrades and the like? Any help will be greatly appreciated...Thanks for your time, oh by the way I am located in Central Illinois....

Welcome. You have a good start having a 67. Mostly, you will need to customize the engine crossmember to properly mount the V8 to. It's possible to drop a 302 in without having to modify the doghouse, but chances are you will need to.

I'm preparing to drop a 4.6L V8 and AOD from a 2002 Crown Vic Police Interceptor into my 62 Econoline, but have several required mods to make that work!

    Good luck.

You are way ahead of the game with a '67! I assume you mean a small block FORD. Here's something I wrote up about my swap (302 into a '65).

Also contact Vic here for crossmember and other custom parts for the v8 conversion. He does great work and can help you with questions...
    Vic (oldskool) I think?

What's in there now? If it's a 240, then swapping in a 302 should be easy. If you have the 170, you need a new bell-housing and other stuff to make the swap.

If you had the 170 you would need everything, LOL,, a lot more than just a bellhousing...
This is Vic (Old Skool) and THANK YOU DONN, was wondering what happened to all my old posts???
Anyways, I do conversions for people as well as make a lot of parts and upgrades for our trucks.
I make a V8 engine cross member, and contrary to what some think the 240 cross member does not fit as well, the reason I cut the towers off and put my own design in. All the clearances (like drag links, etc) and angles are already figured out for you.
I also have designed a remote fan cooled transmission cooler setup that I have been using now for over 15 years and works great.
Also, I make transmission cross members for those doing and early that do not want to use the weaker donout mount as well as under tranny mount short tail stocks for both the C4 and the C6.
I also make custom and stock automatic steering columns (same as OEM from manual columns) with my bronze bearing
update. Also, I make the 64 to 66 GREEN DOT plastic shift indicator plates as well as the 67 shift plate. The 67 shift body and pattern preferred over the GREEN DOT.
I also, make a custom throttle cable for the V8 conversions, it bolts up to the stock 240 bell crank and is longer as well as a special end for the carb. Its already all figured out. Also, I make a shift rod to shift cable conversion that gets rid of all the monkey motion and you can actually feel the gear clicks. Uses air craft type hyme joint bearings ends and special replacement adjustable shift arm for the C4...LOL
I also make a disc brake conversion for ours that needs no adapters for anything, its a real simple bolt on that has worked well for many people, as well as a remote reservoir conversion that I make also. Here are some pics to enjoy. Some of the trucks that I have had my hands in are Tim's truck that he just bought as well as the lates 1st place at the Nationals here..Forgot I also have re sleeved masters in stock as well as I make remote reservoir conversion for it. Also, 240 stock throttle cables..
