Actual G10 Weight - Van Weight Front To Back Empty Van Weight Front To Back

I posted this in VCVC also , but it might give anyone with a short wheelbase van an idea of where they are at.

Id call this a somewhat typical V8 auto trans swap with a full paneled interior on a 65 Chevy. If I remember right these have an estimated curb weight of 2800# basically equipped. What I got now:
    3640 Total
    2160 Front
    1460 Rear
The 20# difference might be because the dog moved or the fact there was a small ramp to the ends of the scales which I tried to minimize by staying close. I really thought the rear bias might have been a little more.

It was the weight bias I was more curious about than anything. It seems to hook up better than I thought it would have and the brakes I must have gotten set real close (lucky) because they seem to set it down quite well without alot of nose dive. I don't think there is much I could do to change it either, seeing as most of the front weight must be from glass and the extra structure in the doors and such. Im sure the engine and trans adds to it but that is really most behind the front axle but close to it. See how the next one ends up ,,LOL

Tom if my numbers are right/close you gained about 340#, and all but 5# of it in the engine. The BB comes in at 685# with stuff on it, the powerglide only 95# (by Wiki). The saginaw 3 speed is supposed to only weigh 90#. As far back as that engine is in the DV, probably only about 2/3 of that would be on the front.
Don you put your van to the task more than alot of folks do with a PU !!
