Uante, now I remember where I saw your van before! I knew it looked familiar...As I recall, the underside of this van was super clean!!! Glad to see it got a good home!

Thanks Steven...I hope to start working on it this summer. I saw the underside only briefly before putting it in storage, but it looked pretty good (like the pics on this thread) only thing was there were a number of holes drilled in the floor and some surface rust inside under the passenger seat.

It's Paul, I just quoted Steven Wright, I'm not as clever as he is. In any case, you've got a nice solid start there. I'm still anxiously waiting for Spring here so I can pick up where I left off this fall trying to get mine on the road this summer if the budget allows!

Just reviewing Texas John's thread. It's slow at work before the Holidays...lol.

In Feb I'll have had this van for 3 years. It's been a lot of fun and has taken over my project interest to the point that now I'm going to sell my Torino as its become a storage shed Queen.
Anyway, it's neat to have John's thread for historical reasons. Since I've got the van I found out it was a Fire Department van in Grangeville ID for many years before it was given to Animal Control (dog catchers) as John wrote about.
Here's a picture of then and now. Also hope all is going well with you Texas John. Give a shout out sometime if you visit the site.

    Hey Texas John,
Stopped by Lewiston after visiting Grangeville to see if you were around. Meet your partner at the shop and got a quick tour...looks like you have plenty to work on!
    See you next time through!
