1967 Ford Econoline Custom Van
3-15-10...Road Trip... Not to action packed but had a good time. About 15 hours round trip. Through the mountians and winding roads. Some snow in McCall Idaho area(4') Meet A.J. and Jen, Had a Beer and a burger in Boise Idaho after loading the van. Took a lot longer to get back but the big black hemi dodge did real good. Pulled at 70, no problem...Stoped for a beer and a stretch in every city on the way back. Met up with Josh in Hometown and closed the bar. Got home a little after 2am. Sorry no war stories n this trip, maybe next time.

289/auto, no heat, No A/C . Custom wheels, exhaust,body... everything. Power windows, shaved handels, frenched antenna, etched glass, mustang tailights, sunroofs,gull wing rear door, side doors welded and open from back, fender flares, spoiler, louvered visor, Interior fuel tank filler. Full set of mechanical gauges including tack, clock and engine effiecetcy gauge(a/f mix)

Runs, needs a little carb help (sitting a while). Drove it around the block, seemed ok'ish. All lights work, brakes work, electric fan...think I made a decent buy....

Going to have to change the name to 8th day vans!
With that many Es, you can at least save money buying parts, 'cause you will be in wholesale amounts for each item!

Needs some work for sure but what a cool van!

3-18-10... Got all the interior out and swept out. Have some light rust spots and some holes to fill. Got some seats installed for now. Bought a headlight. Washed the outside. Drove it to parts store. 4 miles.

licensed and insured today. Now my daily driver. Carb clean and tune-up schedualed for sunday with the Famous Gearge Frank......Shifter also needs some looking into.

Rebuilt carb yesterday, didnt help much. Tried to set/check timing but couldnt get distributor to rotate. Was getting lat so we quit. Got it unstock today,but didnt have timing light with me. Getting a slow return to idle on the holly vcume secondary carb....and no responce right of crusing speed ( 25/35mph)
ol lady cut a piece of carpet for the front to cover some holes untill i get a chance to fix the floor....

That is/was the Tazvan. It was in Hot Rod magazine in the 1970s.

Due to a motorcycle wreck 2200 miles from home i need to sell something to make up for extra traveling expences. So this van is on the block. Asking $4000 to start. See where it goes from there.....

status of this van as of today is.....
Trading it off for a complete rebuild of the yellow and blue 64 custom

Traded to the master upholstery guru George Frank (see many of his jobs in many magazines) . He already has the van becaue I needed room at my house to start building an add on to my shop. I will keep this page updated as he works on it.

still not completed yet, weather slowng me down as well as some last touches on other projects but its coming.....

ok...george has been working on the red 67 got all the doors and windows working properly and started spraying some insulation inside. motor running good and we got it street legall agian. Trying to leave this weekend for some camping and blues fest parting .....vanning style.

10-8-11 George has been getting a little more towards the goal on the 67. Lowered the front end a couple inches and shortend the front spoiler to clear driveways. Dog house and a overhead console has had some attention to.

I think it helped the looks of that front spoiler alot. I like the molded in air grabber/notch on it to. What is the shifter set up on the dash ?

Kind of reminds me of one out of a early Mustang ??

the shifter is stock ford floor/console setup. i believed they used them in mustangs and a few other models. It had some linkage issues but i think they are all worked out now
