definately not from here... if you do get one of these saying it's from here, NEVER reply and give out your password! Hackers are hoping you use the same password here for other personal accounts
I see that is was also mentioned that VCVC was sending out these notices... So it may have been them

I just talked to Amie (Smiley's wife) and confirmed that she sent out membership confirmation emails to everyone who had ever registered in their (VCVC) forums.

I know this is a bit of a different situation, but I got an email from this sight saying I had a new private message but when I clicked on the link, it took me to my mail box and there was no new message.....
