Thanks, i'm obligated to say its my wife's since most people instantly assume its mine (and she gets irked lol). She bought it when we were dating about 14 years ago but we've got equal love for it. She loves my van too! She's a keeper for sure

So do all you snowbirds "winter" your vans due to safety issues relating to snow or to keep them out of salt conditions?

Most of us do, but there are some daily drivers up here. Here in MI they put so much salt on the roads they turn white when they dry. Early's don't last long with that

I can't pack mine away yet! Heading to the Gulf next week from D.C. When I get back it will definitely go the the big dog house. These people around here freak out even if it just rains. Heck, they see one snow flake and they put enough salt down that it looks like it snowed for a week.

I might move it around some if the roads are okay in the winter, but like G said ,, salt is the killer, these things go thru a alot of snow if ya stick snow tires on them and put about 300lbs of wieght in the back! Used to do that when I was in HS. Of course I was alot dumber then also.

Up here they throw down a lot of crushed potash and there would be nothing left of an early after the winter. We just started to get snow and already people have forgotten how to drive. So asside from the salt I would be more worried about some dumb ass sliding thrue a stop sign and totaling the van.

I've heard about folks who keep vehicles in their garage! Here in the South, we keep everything else in the garage and keep the vehicles outside.
I'm thinking about getting one of those tent garages to erect temporarily (like about a year) to rebuild my Œ100.
