    does anyone know if a car and and a-100 oil pans are the same. i just bought a used slant six for my a-100 van( threw a rod out the pan) and it was out of 81 pickup. anyone have an extra pan laying around? thanks Dan

    They would know.
    I am guessing, but the sump should be the same. If not, get the right pickup.
    The only area I'd check into is the front and back curved sections. The later slant 6s used a cast crank, so that might be different.

    I just installed an engine from a duster and had no problems. I don't see how any pan would be a problem, tons of room.

    did put a 1979 aspen engine into my a-100...same thing
