today while advancing my timing in my van I bumped my turn signal lever and heard a snap and now my turn signal is stuck on :/ can anyone tell me how to get my horn ring off so I can take my steering column apart? Thanks

Push it in and twist it. If you do it fast enough you won't even upset the neighbors!

Re: Stuck turn signal
Thankyou, I'm having my wife pick up a steering wheel pulled as we speak. Is it pretty messy inside or a straight forward operation? Did these vans ever have self canceling turn signals?

Re: Stuck turn signal
It's pretty straightforward under there. Your turn signal cancelling cam is probably broken. I had to mail order mine from Macs. Also, '67 is different from '61-'66.

Re: Stuck turn signal
Thanks for the tip, it's so loud in my van without the insulation that when my turn signals don't cancel themselves I can't hear the clicking and end up looking like an idiot for 10miles untill I notice to turn them off.

Re: Stuck turn signal
no parts places carry the unit so I'm going to be a cheap bastard and super glue the cam back together to make it through the weekend. Then head to a junkyard when I get home from my camping trip. I've got it working again now let's hope another signal doesn't get stuck for two days.
