Came home and these were sitting there. I wanted to go with Rocket Racing wheels but the ones I want won't be available for awhile so I went with this Cragar. I haven't seen this one on the street yet.

That's the same model I put on mine last year! I love the subtle machining on the lip and the matte spokes. They look like regular SS wheels, until you look a little closer.

Yeah, can't stop staring at them. I got 15x8 and 15x7. I think I like these better than the rockets. And to Southern man, dang, I thought I had something unique. I never checked yours out too closely, I figured yours were torque thrusts but I see em now. Good choice! Wink

You are going to love them when they're on. Mine are the same size as yours - 8" rear and 7" front. The deeper dish on the rear just looks right. (I really wanted Torq thrusts originally but had trouble finding them in the right size. Then found these Cragars and I like 'em even better.)

Sorry, didn't mean to rain on your parade!

Guess there's room for 2 E's with em eh. Good thing I changed it from PT cruiser yellow eh? How does the machining on the lip hold up? Tires came in today so at least I can mount em in the meantime.

Hey Southern man, is there any chance you could post a couple of pics of your van? One passenger side and one driver side shot please and thanxs. It's still to early for my mags, but wanted to get a feel for the look from both sides. Saw those mags at the last car show and man tuff decision...go with original look Cragers or the satin look....No rush. when ever you happen to have a camera handy.

Sounds like I picked the right ones, thanks guys. I wanted something a bit different. .
I got the wheels at Jegs but they don't have them in the catalog. Call them and they can drop ship them from Cragar. Make sure it's the 610G serires, I ordered the 61G that's in the catalog and they don't match the pics. The 61G in the pics look like these but they are actually the Chrome S/S with the gunmetal middle, but look cheap. lf anyone is looking for Radial T/A tires, I got em from tirebuyer.com with free shipping. The 255 60 15 seems to be back ordered by a lot of stores but they had them.

Carl, can't wait to get em mounted on the tires at least. I plan to have the van done and on the road by the end of August but don't think I can wait that long to see what they look like. I think these wheels are the coolest thing I've bought these last few months and just about the cheapest. Buying rims and tires was always my favorite thing about a project. I can remember just about every wheel and where I've got them the past 30 years.

Southern man, what offset did you go with on the wheels. Im having trouble finding anything with a zero offset for my econoline. And kick ass paint color choice on the van.

    Ray,
Sorry but I don't know the answer to your question. The shop that did my paint job knew what I wanted style-wise and sourced out the wheels for me. I've since asked them for the specs but they didn't seem to write them down anywhere.

And thanks for the compliment about the color. I agonized for over 2 years about that, looking at every car on the road looking for inspiration. I am VERY happy with it! When I tell people I painted it yellow they get this strange look in their eye, like "you painted it what!???", but once they see it they agree that it just looks right.
