Wow, you hit a home run on that install, congrats!

Curious about that pivot you fabbed and how it attaches
    to the carb/manifold area.

i cant believe how FAST my van is now!!! holy mama! and its quiet too. its so quiet inside, and powerful. now it feels like a hot rod. thanks for the help guys. the linkage adapter is mounted to the carb stud. the little arms are fit to touch the plate and keep it from moving around. it works like the original would have. as for cable control, i wouldn't mind doing it but i have to wait till my wife forgets about the five hundred bucks i just spent on the swap. i did that little bracket up to get me back up and running for free. cheers!!

    Great to hear Steve!

Nice approach on the pivot fab job. Got 'er done.

Fast, and decent torque. Pretty fun, hey?

Ha ha, now you're where I'm at, it goes so fast that I need some dialing-in on my brakes.
I'd go discs if I could find a good value out there.

'Til then, I got to make my existing binders work real well...

when my wife and i first were married we picked up a beautiful stove made in 1958 by tappan in a 1961 mercury truck i was driving at the time. she absolutely loved that stove and was very sad to have to leave it behind at my parents house when we moved. i went to go see my dad today with the van and there is the stove out in the driveway. he said they didnt need it anymore so i loaded it up in the 1962 van and brought it home and put it in and cleaned it up. i'm just waiting for her to come home right now. shes been mourning that stove for fifteen years, aint life a weird ride??? by the way she was right there last night gettin' into it with the guys and cooking up hamburgers and chicken. i just love her.
