Re: vapor lock
a half dozen close pins or so on the line will get rid of the vapor lock

Re: vapor lock
and=The clothes pins MUST be on a metal fuel line - also check to see if any fuel lines are routed close to engine & exhaust areas?? if so - move the line.

Re: vapor lock
Tony, I would definitely recommend to swap out the rubber hose for a metal line, at least from the pump to the carb, as from the heat and age the rubber will become brittle and eventually leak and have the possibility of causing a fire. When you route the metal line try to keep it away from the exhaust manifold as far as possible to reduce temp in the line. Which "bowl" are you referring to? The fuel filter or the carb? Are you having problems with the engine not starting after it heats up and it's fine when it's cold?
As for the generator issue, most guy's update and swap it out for a alternator as they use the same brackets but have to change to a compatible voltage regulator. I wanted to keep mine somewhat original and had the gen rebuilt for about $75. Hope this helps.
