    Well I was wondering ... if a 302 would fit on the brackets ..... or would you have to modify it to work ????

    I bought one made for a Chevy small block and put a 250 in it. I didn't trust the bolts that it shipped with, and the brackets didn't line-up. But with different bolts, and pulling the bars in place, its been fine. I roll my old 250 around the garage in this thing all the time.

    Yep. Got three of them.
    One for the Corvette 327, GTO 326 & the spare 250...

    Just make sure you get the right one... That one there is for a Ford....

    I was Wondering because ... I am Going to pick up a 302 for the econoline ... Going to be a Long Road trip .. and I wanted to take the casters off and Load the motor up in the back of the truck on this stand ..... I Know the Chevy stand works good .. Just because of the mounts on a Chevy are all alike ... Mostly ... But on the ford I just wasn't sure ..... and this thing is made in China ... Just wanted to make sure it would work ... I don't need that Motor rolling around in the bed !!!!!!

    I use one when I drove to get my 327 and 326. An old tire works great, just ratchet the motor and stand up against the front of the bed with the old tire between them and she'll ride forever that way!

    Have also put that baby smack in the center of the bed and used 4 ratchets. One to each corner of the bed, just watch for bumps......

    Summit has them to , sometimes onsale and sometimes cheaper ordering them online,think I picked up the chevy one for about 40$.

    my local speed shop sells them for chevy chrysler and ford.
    i have my sbc sitting on one now theyre nice to store, but allittle hard to work on bc its so low to the ground

    bought an engine stand for $60.00 from summit last week.its more suited if you want to store AND work on it. the cradles are pretty much storage.
