starting the process

ok finally got my van still neeed to take pictures. first would like to install auto trans on my 230 any ideas how to make this happen also any thoughts on replacing with 4.3 with auto transmission will it fit in the dog house i have a lot of questions ive been reading all the post im a full time contractor half wit mechanic. can build you anything out of wood so i have a lot of questions mike

what year??? 2nd gen that 4.3 should fit right in, first gen will need the doghouse mod's or get a 2nd gen doghouse for a first gen

Well you will have the same issues with the 4.3 as you would a V8, it just to wide. Many have made mod's to widen it on each side. wideload has this on his 65. And billski has a custom mod on his 66. How much to mod I can't tell you. I'm putting a V8 in my 64, but I'm using a 2nd gen doghouse
