    How easy it to install aftermarket A/C. Where do I get it and roughly how much$$??

    well- install isnt hard and any of the aftermarket mf'g can set u up with a kit for the van- usually - depending on kit & what u want =950-1300 bucks -

    Thank you for your reply. I looked at vintage air but I cannot find the kit for the econoline. I will google it and I know it's out there! Thanks again.

    I talked to a Vintage Air dealer that has installed them in early Econos in the past. The kit was around $1100.00. I am going to have him install one in my 61 Econo pickup

    Did you happen to get the kit number on your kit from Vintage? Does it come with the compressor mounting bracket for the 240 engine? Lastly, is that a pic of it in your member showcase post?

    I have a underdash unit from a 70's chev PU. Will be installing that and a rear A/C unit from a later series van & rear Heat also from a gen 3 = I have in the yard. Im kinda a Cheapo guy & must use what i have or can scrounge up. Your 6 cyl. engine brackets may be found in some yards from pickups id think.
