Post by Lyrad Wed Mar 09, 2011 8:42 am

Yahoo !!!!! Thursday March 10 I fly out to Sioux Falls SD to pick up my van and drive it 24 hours drive time, 2300 KM home.
Fellow member's that are along my route keep your ear to the ground. I'm going through Watertown, Fargo, Jamestown, Minot ND (where I spend the night), Estevan SK, Regina, Saskatoon (where fellow member Sasktrini is going to hook up with me for some giggly pops), Lloydminster AB and then home Edmonton.
    oh ya. I'm stoaked.

I will have my lap top with me so will try doing some updates along the way. Peace Out.

    Lyrad,
Take your time, don't rush or push the van. And be safe! You can take chances when you get home, try not to do it on the way there.... cheers Congrat's Brother...

If you read this, be careful on the roads... apparently many highways are closed in southern SK due to blizzard conditions, and your route wants to bring you right through there. It's clear in Saskatoon right now, but ugly down south I guess. Safe travels, man!

OMG !!! I'm exhausted. I got to Estevan SK. late this morning. Bad road conditions stopped me from going on, man the bar is busy I guess every one had the same idea as me. lol

VAN UP DATE, After getting the van had to fix a few things. It was way loud. The valve cover gasket on the on the right side leaked heavy, the front brakes where weak and the back brakes don't work. After re-ataching the exhaust donut I could hear the enigine and it has a bottom end knock. Sad Got lots of great waves and honks on the road. I will be in Saskatoon saturday afternoon. Thanks for the great comments Very Happy

Howdy all, I'm home now. Thanks for the great posts. I will be posting pics for day 3 and then later day 4.

Day 3, When I awoke in Estevan SK the blizzard was gone.....Horray! But it was -10 F......Burrrr. It took a few tries to fire up the old girl but she came around, what a whinny bitch doesn't like the cold. This was the first time driving the van in sub zero weather, the tires where frozen out of round shape and the whole suspension was as stiff as a roster in a hen house. With every crack in the road and many pot holes I hit I would hear a big BANG! it was like a war zone.....bang, bang, bang. Keep it real slow till things started moving better. What an adventure. I got into Saskatoon at 3ish all bundled up in my ice fishing gear. (hi Big W) Hooked up with my Bro and Sasktrini, then partied like a rock star till I pasted out at midnight.

    Final Day on the road.

Day 4, After the skull cramps cleared I was back on the road. It was a nice sunny day with normal temp out side. Wasn't long in to my final 6 hours that I was all smiles. This was by far the best day with tons of honks and tumbs up..... Honey I'm home! bounce

OH YA, HOME SWEET HOME ALBERTA (BAMA)
