First gen master cyl plug
Has anyone come up with something that will replace the stock floor plug on a first gen that most of us are missing

Re: First gen master cyl plug
What about the ones for the PU trucks from the late 40's and early 50's?
They are availible as reproductions from the PU repo parts companys as well as the door seal people.
Has anyone tryed one of those?

Thanks Don for the picture (I've never seen one)
M1D I'm guess or hoping it's one of those GM parts that has been used from another year

Those rods are the least of your worrys if you still got a single line master cylinder

Re: First gen master cyl plug
The dual master cylinder is about 1" narrower than the single line master cylinder,,,,,,,,,,so Tommy,,,,,,,now you got a good reason to get rid of that single line system,,,,,,,

Re: First gen master cyl plug
Thinking you could just put in a Marine access hatch. Here's a 8" that would work fine even with a double pumper...

Re: First gen master cyl plug
Want me to cut ya out some circles from plate steel? Its easy enough to make the basic shape , the hard part is making something that would snap in and seal tight. I can layer 2 pieces so it doesnt move much in the hole?

Re: First gen master cyl plug
I spilt my opening and moved half of it back and filled in the sides and made an oblong hole, then just set a piece of plate in it. but my floor was a mess anyway and it didnt bother me hacking it up some..LOL
Ok Chris , the offer is there if you need it.
